Writing and Editing

Faded Books on a Shelf

Reading, writing, and editing have always been a passion of mine. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from The Ohio State University, and I hold a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from Georgia Southern University. I wrote my MA thesis on James Joyce's Ulysses and focused on Irish Studies, studying the work of Joyce, Yeats, and Heaney. In 2008, I studied abroad at Università degli studi di Trieste Joyce School, for in-depth study of the work of Joyce with leading Joycean scholars from all over the world. I began teaching in 2009, first teaching First-Year Experience and assisting in English courses. Then, I began teaching English Composition, Literature, Speech, and Interpersonal Communication. I taught for 9 years both online and in the classroom. I love working with students and coaching them through the revision process, and I love the look on their faces when they understand a part of speech.
